Mughal Garden DelhiThe famous mughal garden of Delhi is located in Rashtrapati Bhawan, the official residence of the President of India. This garden was built in 1929 and one of the famous tourist destinations. The Mughal Garden is opened for public only for a short period in the year. Every year it opens for public viewing only in the month of February and March. The garden has spreaded in the area of 13 acres that includes colourful flowering shrubs and European flowerbeds. This garden has built in three sections which are rectangular garden, long garden and circular garden.


The Circular Garden is also called the sunken or butterfly garden. The main attraction here is sunken pond with a fountain with circular rows of flowers around it. Here you can see a large population of different butterflies. Therefore it named as butterfly garden, also known as pearl garden. Long garden is completely filled with bed of roses. Here you will find roses all around.


The garden has built in complete Mughal style. It has four waterways with beautiful fountains and terraces. The garden is filled with very beautiful flowers all around. Here you will get variety of flowers like roses, marigold, bougainvillea, sweet william, viscaria etc among many others. Apart from these here you will get very special varieties of flowers that you can’t find everywhere. This garden is more popular because of its wide and unique range of flowers.
In this garden you will find more than 250 varieties of rose, 60 kinds of Bougainvillea. A very good collection of Indian marigold flowers and Dahlias of all colors such as shades of pink, mauve, golden rust, red, white, yellow and even red and white striped dahlias
