New Delhi: The Capital of India

New DelhiDelhi, the most popular city of India, which is also the capital is India is situated at the bank of Yamuna. Delhi has its own importance in the history of India. It is filled with number of attraction places and historic monuments. It has countless places to explore, which are very famous and each one is having its own history.

Some of the very famous historical places that provide a unique identity to Delhi are Iron Pillar, Red Fort, India Gate, Old Fort also known as Purana Quilla, Jantar Mantar, Humayun's Tomb, Birla Mandir, Siri, Tughluqabad, Jama Masjid, Alai Darwaza, Ashok Pillars, Amir Khusro's Tomb, Dargah of Nizam-ud-din Auliya, Dargah of Khwaja Qutab-ud-din Bakhtiyar Kaki, Ghalib's Tomb & Academy, Akshardam temple, Lotus Temple, Firoz Shah Kotla, Mughal Garden and many more.

Delhi is also having remarkable museums containing the national heritage of India. The well known museums in Delhi are National museum, National Philatelic Museum, Crafts museum, Gandhi museum, Science Museum, National Rail Museum, International Dolls Museum, Nehru Museum, Air Force Museum. Next it comes to markets of Delhi, which are very famous for shopping. The famous names in list of Delhi markets are Chandni Chowk, Dilli Haat, Connaught Place, Karol Bagh, Janpath, JanakPuri, Jwala Hedi, Sarojini Nagar, Lajpat Nagar, Kamla Nagar, Khan Market, Rajouri Garden etc. Some of the eating places in delhi are Nathu Sweets, Punjabi by Nature, Karims, Park Baluchi etc.
